So here’s the closest Dave and I will ever get to matching tattoos…

Okay, Dave got the tattoos and I made a skirt.

I drew them myself freehand so I ended up with a chubby swallow on the right and a svelte swallow on the left.

I had this pair of cropped jeans that as of last summer were on the verge of sausage casing but still fit me around the waist, so I decided to make them into a skirt. (I forgot to take a before picture of the pants (again) – oops.) I added some fabric that I love because the sausage casing needed some widening…

I LOVE this fabric.

Then, I saw some swallows embroidered on jeans in a book from the library and I decided that Dave and I need to be twins. Originally, I was going to fill the swallows in with colored embroidery floss like his, but after adding the colorful fabric, I think the black outline is plenty. What do you think?
