Crochet Safari Animals and a Cute Alarm Clock

Here are the little animals I said I would make… Aren’t they cute? I am for sure going to make the lion for myself because the three in the picture have been claimed, apparently. The other three people in this house have a soft spot for tiny crocheted critters too I guess. It was all I could do to round them up for the photo. Anywho, I think the lion on the cover is the cutest anyway so I’m glad I saved him for last (for me!).

Plus, I made this cute little alarm clock from Crochet Today magazine…I think the September 2009 issue maybe…

Cute, right? It felt so good to just make something cute for no reason at all. Of course it wasn’t exactly as instructed…I had to change the color and I was too lazy to put felt hands on mine so I just used a double strand of black yarn but the result is the same I think. Next time I would pay a little more attention to the length of the arms (I forgot they’re actually supposed to be different lengths – oops). I got too excited I guess…always happens when I put eyeballs on inanimate objects.

And here is the start of the kindergarten gift that I’m making for all the kids in Mona’s class. I’m hoping to finish that up this week… 🙂
