Easy Little Girl Purses

So, one of our little cul-de-sac friends turned five not too long ago and I wanted to make something quick and easy that she would really like. I had a couple pair of jeans ready for the give away pile, so I carefully cut off the back pockets and turned them into two little purses. I only finished the gift one at the time, but yesterday I finished the second and they both turned out really cute. I’ve seen some patterns for these online, but they call for cutting out the entire pocket of the jeans, which leaves two gigantic holes in the butt so they’re completely useless, which didn’t make any sense to me. I just took a razor blade to them and was able to salvage the jeans for charity or whatever. Anyway, our friend received the one with the buttons, and R received the more plain one. I thought it would be fun to pin some little buttons with cute sayings on them like I used to get from “Claire’s” and pin on my bedazzled jean jacket when I was a kid. I just used scraps for the rest of the purses and I even lined them which is going way overboard for me. But seriously, if you need a quick, cheap gift idea for a little girl age 3-6 or so, just whip one of these up and stick some glitter chap stick in it, or really just anything with glitter and you will be golden.
